Our Affordable Direct Cremation Package

Everlight Cremations is here to offer a simple, respectful, and affordable Direct Cremation package. We handle all the necessary arrangements, allowing you to focus on what matters most during this difficult time.

Our package includes everything needed for an unattended cremation.

  • Professional and Caring Staff: Our experienced team is available to guide you through every step. Just give us a call, and we will answer any questions you may have.

​

  • 24/7 Transfer: We will collect your loved one and bring them into our care from anywhere in the lower North Island, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please note, an after-hours pickup fee of $400 applies for transfers outside of normal business hours.

  • Mortuary Care: We treat every individual with the utmost dignity and respect while they are in our care.

​

  • Paperwork and Registration: We take care of all the necessary legal and administrative paperwork, including the cremation certificate and death registration. We also organize and provide you with the official Government Death Certificate.

  • Transport and Delivery: We will respectfully transport your loved one to the crematorium. Once the cremation is complete, we can either return the ashes to you directly or arrange for them to be delivered to an address in New Zealand for an additional fee.

  • Our Fees: The cost for our Direct Cremation package for The Manawatu is $2700.00, which covers all the services listed above. Please note that payments are required before the cremation takes place.

  • For Areas outside of the Manawatu the cost is $3000.00 plus out of district council fees $78.00

  • Cremation Details: The date and time of the cremation will be at our discretion but will take place within three working days of the deceased coming into our care.

 

Understanding the Direct Cremation Package

 

This package is for a cremation only and does not include a funeral service. Our direct cremation package uses a non-viewable casket, which means we are unable to offer a viewing.

We understand that saying a final goodbye is a deeply personal and important part of the grieving process. If you and your whānau would like to have a service and viewing, we can provide this through one of our other comprehensive funeral packages. We also offer a range of casket options to suit your preferences and size requirements, with costs varying based on your selection.

We can assist with a Funeral Grant

​

Some New Zealanders may be eligible for a Funeral Grant from WINZ. Here at Everlight Cremations we can help you with getting all the information and forms, assisting our families with their applications where necessary.

​

Who can get it?

The partner, spouse, child, parent or guardian of the deceased person

  • If you are arranging the funeral of someone with no partner, spouse or child

  • The deceased normally lived in New Zealand

  • The WINZ Funeral Grant is Means Tested, WINZ will Require Proof of Funds in Bank Accounts at time of Passing, we can assist you with these requirements.
